paul r
Hi, my car has dab radio and a 6 CD changer, but no ami. Is there an aux input somewhere in the car? Also, is it worth updating my mmi? Which disks would I need? It's a 2006 Audi a8 sport, 4.2Tdi. Cheers, Paul.
cruiser647
I think you need to be VERY careful when you do that. There are a few bods on here who can do that for you at a meeting. Buy them some food or beer and they'll do it for you. Have a look at the Meeting and Trackdays section and you are bound to find one near you. Although going and getting it done at a meeting and then not appearing again, doesn't go down well. There is one in MK tomorrow evening............. snapdragon
There is no AUX in the car unless you buy an AMI to fit in the glovebox with relevant interface cable, There are also AUX audio and video on the TV module in the boot, but you need to buy a special cable and fit the pins into the existing connector and of course whatever you fit will have to be in the boot and controlled with a remote and magic eye. Are you in Europe or US? Make sure you get the correct update CDs. http://www.audi-forums.com/attachmen...s-mmi-high.pdf These are all codes for MMI 2G High updates: 2120 (2.1.20) - {Update CD p/n 4E0 906 961 L} 3460 (3.4.60) - {Update CD p/n 4E0 906 961 T} 4220 (4.2.20) - {Update CD p/n 4E0 906 961 AA} 5150 (5.1.50) - {Update CD p/n 4F0 906 961 AB} 5170 (5.1.79) e 5570 (5.5.70) - {Update CD set p/n 4L0 998 961 (A6/A8/Q7) p/n 8K0 998 961 also good 8T0 (A4 B8/A5)} For 5170(cd1) and 5570(cd 2 and cd3) you have 2 different code, one is for A6,A7,Q7 and the other is for A4 B8,A5.
