ilyas
Hi, i'm 18 and awaiting delivery of my 2.0TDI S-Line. My delivery date, that i specified was meant to be June 30th but today I called up HR OWEN AUDI (my dealer in london) and he told me that the delivery of the car would be delayed for another 3 weeks! I've asked him for a courtesy car was the period of 3 weeks as I really need a car then,(going to Nottingham (see my residence), and just socialising). My dealer is absolute bollocks and didnt even bother to tell me that my car was being delayed...until i called him (DSG delay). Anyways..please could sum1 tell me what my rights are as a customer (to get a car for those 3 weeks) and what kind of car should i be getting, considering my age. Will they give me an Audi?...better after the amount i paid for that car! HR OWEN = s
cheechy
ilyas - if they gave you a delivery date then they should stick to their agreement if you are going to be off the road. Only stumbling block maybe if you don't have wheels just now. At the end of the day it isn't the dealers fault the car has been delayed so its something you may have to take up with Audi UK - you might want to ask the dealer to take this up on your behalf. You might be lucky and get a set of rear carpet mats floung in or something - not a great deal I don't think. Good luck anyway!
ilyas
lol...already negotiated that bit...free rear flor mats r included....what else can i get..hmm...chromse exhaust.lol....i would prefer a nice courtesy car for like 3 weeks..since i'm gonna need a car then..and i dont have one cuz the a3 has been delayed. Do you kno if audi give audi courtesy cars..or non audi ones. A2 or an A3 would be lovely.
century_one
When my A3 went in last year i got a golf automatic! You may get a new model golf who knows? Saw one today at work and they are starting to grow on me. Cant wait to see the reborn GTI at the end of the year. I will be surprised if you get an audi courtesy car dude. Oivind
When I waited on my previous A3 the Audi dealer assigned me a new Golf TDI fourmotion. But maybe they are more flexible here in Norway
ilyas
What's the worst car I could get? Does anyone know what cars Audi use for their courtesy cars. A golf would be real nice, thats what i have (1.4 lol..bit crap). Please tell me they dont use nissan micraz or ne thing like that ...i really dont want to be driving that around (piece of crap). Would be well happy with a Golf or a Seat Cupra ..or perhaps an A2?
maersk
Beware getting an A2 - you might like it too much! A cracking little car!
JayL
To quote the back of the A3 New Price List..... "Once we have confirmed a delivery date with you we will keep you informed of progress. In the unlikely event of a delay to your vehicle, we commit to keeping you mobile to suit your cirmcumstances..." I would say that once you had the delivery date confirmed you planned things to do in you lovely new car! As you have not been kept up to date and are carless (say u have just sold yours or something) they should give you a hire car at the very least! Ask to speak to the General Manager of the dealership, if no joy there contact Audi's UK Costomer Service Centre and they shoul sort you out! Whilst I had my car on order I had an A4 for 5 days until she turned up! Good luck!
RobK
Are you sure your dealer isn't pulling a fast one with the DSG delay story? My TDI DSG was scheduled for build this week and delivery early July, and the dealer confirmed this was still the case when I called today. He hadn't heard anything about delays on DSG. Orbit
I am curious as to what could be gained from a dealer due to delays in delivery. I have just been told my S-Line is now not due to be built till WK29 - 5 weeks after the previously delayed date. My car is sourced through a leasing company and they have told me there is very little they can do. Thing is for all of my pain and suffering (though i do have a loan car from the company) i want to see what i can get out of the dealer for my incovenience, has anyone got experience of what i could expect (already got mats) to blag from them - under possible threat of cancelling the order
