    My 2005 Cayenne S (4.5) has an intermittent misfire on startup. This is accompanied by blue smoke for the first 10-20 seconds, and then the misfire/smoke goes away. This only happens every 4 or 5 days. Has anyone seen this before?

    Hello all, Have an A4 avant with TDI 170 (BRD engine code) with oil leaking around the filler cap and occasional blue smoke from exhaust at idle, slightly lumpy tickover at idle. Otherwise car drives fine with no smoke during acceleration or at speed. Digging on the web leads me to believe it is a faulty pressure control valve, something to do with crankcase breather. Looked everywhere can't find any info on where the bu66er is hiding. Does anyone know where this valve is located within the engine bay? Any help appreciated. Cheers, Grimsa.
