S3Rob
First pics of the TT-RS. Doesn't look like they have changed much apart from the default RS front bumper and twin oval exhausts. 5 cylinder 340hp? Huge front brakes
Mook
I like that, but isn't it a completely stock body on it? Very subtle and a proper stealth machine if it is an RS
charding370
Assume the different 19 in RS style wheels on the front are due to the bigger ceramic brakes on test. Not Audi-like correct to run it with different wheels though.
mark88
Looks a lot better than the TTS, that's for sure.
mlhj83
Now, that's a car I could potentially replace my car with. I cannot imagine the power/torque levels that can be achieved with the appropriate remap.

J_C
The Audi TT-S made its official debut at the Detroit auto show earlier this month, but an even more powerful model is undergoing the final stages of testing — the TT-RS. Spotted during cold weather testing in Sweden, these latest photos show a production-ready RS parked for a break. Output for the TT RS is expected between 340 and 365 horsepower from a 3.2-liter turbocharged V6. The car pictured has a manual transmission, but a seven-speed DSG will also be available. Although the exterior of the RS appears similar to the S model, there are a few subtle changes. The TT RS forgoes the S' fog lights in order to accommodate larger air intakes, allowing for better airflow to the engine. In addition, the RS also sports bigger wheels and brakes. Out back are a set of oval exhaust outlets, a signature design cue for Audi's performance range of vehicles. Sales of the Audi TT RS are expected to begin sometime in 2009. Merlot
You you think you will get the green and red buttons by the gearstick? I wonder if the days of the 250PS 3.2 are numbered?
Nelson_R32
[ QUOTE ] I wonder if the days of the 250PS 3.2 are numbered? [/ QUOTE ] Most definately, It's hanging on by a thread as it is emmisions wise. It will probably be gone with the facelift A3 (July), then the minor TT facelift (early 2009) and the facelift Golf 6 R model will probably use a detuned R36 engine. Merlot
Shame - I like it on my TTR, great sound. I won't be buying a TTS to replace it (not having a 'four' for £35-40k) so will have to see if they do a 3.6.
encee
I`ll second that Merlot ! There can`t be many engines around which sound as sweet as this particular V6.....

Merlot
Well they've got the RS4 exhausts on which is encouraging rather than the silly four hole set up of the TTS - four pipes for a 2 litre, why?

sidicks
Regardless of whether it is necessary or not, I do like the 4-pipe set-up on the TT-S = very 911-like!! Sidicks
