But in this case I'm simply asking on behalf of a business associate (therefore not for profit) and wondered if anyone could help.

Adam
this thread kinda made me chuckle - why would someone not buy the car themselves and make a simple and easy £5-10k profit by selling on? PS Anyone seen a Veyron for sale, brand new around the £500k mark, please let me know?
Veracocha
I did hear there was a hire one crashed a while back, still pretty much brand new....you could probably have that one for the sort of money your talking

[/ QUOTE ] Maybe Adam, but not everyone can afford to pay out the required amount in cash to enable an "easy" £5-10k profit as you put it. Plus finding someone (Dealer/re-seller) who will pay £5-10k over list-who hasn't already got an R8 for sale-is not "easy" either....

I had a lot of trouble trying to shift my 997 GT3 when they had just come out.Private dealers only wanted it on SOR , it was only until i turned back to the Porsche dealership's that the demand was there. mark88
Aren't all the cancelled orders being offered to so called VIPs by Audi UK? that's what I was told/thought. My dealer has one at 15k over list, they themselves had to pay a premium to get it.
Gareth
All resolved now and he is getting the car later this week. We were able to find a car ourselves, but thanks for the help all the same here.
Merlot
So you can find unregistered R8's at list?
Sc00t
I think anyone buying an R8 for over list is just mad in the first place.
aliAUDI
no r8 will be unregistered if built already. audi will take the car off the supplying dealer, if they de-tag the original clients details, and re tag with someone else's. these in turn, normally go to audi vip's. it stops dealers "spoof ordering" cars..
