wkrzys
Just thought i may post up these photos i took last week while in Bejing for those who may be interested... Visited the audi forum while there, to see an absolutely gorgeous white R8, and a few of the slightly more common, but still gorgeous Audi TT coupe, S3, Q7's etc... anyone know what this is, or what is was used for? Scotty
This has been around a few years. Unless there's more than one, this is normally parked in the entrance to the Avus Restaurant in Ingolstadt.
wkrzys
Indeed it didnt look like the newest design however, did a good job of transporting it 000's of miles to China! (if it is the only one)
Scotty
Here's a pic from my visit to Ingolstadt in 2003. The background shows it was a concept in 1991 !!!! I didn't realise it was THAT old !

deanos3
Thats the Audi Avus, I think they made 2 or 3 and sold them for £1m each??? Viscous rumour no doubt. That was also the first outing for the W12 engine if I remember correctly.
wkrzys
[ QUOTE ] That thing is bloody horrible, Scotty [/ QUOTE ] Unfortunately yes, it wasnt the prettiest thing in the showroom, particularly not when it was sat next to an R8! But 1991! I do rather like the air scoops at the top of the roof feeding that engine though!
