sup44
Any one find any third party interfaces available to allow owners to attach auxiliary audio and video input to the Nav system.. I took out the NAV/radio and noted some input slot on the back but haven't been able to find an adapter...
shao_khan
Does the unit not have standard types of A/V jacks on the rear of it? (Be typical for them to do that)
Prhim
Would be interested to see if I could get one of those Phatnoise systems to hook up to this... doubt it tho!
bulldog
Have been looking into Phatnoise - likely to have one next year. I think it needs CD changer interface to work. I suspect it just emulates CD changer so you can operate it as if CD changer with VW head unit (no chance to have that level of control through AV). Another potential future option would be Kenwood Ken HD drive ( a brother to Phatnoise) which can be used through RF interface (no idea how it works I suspect it emulates radio). Kenwood says on the web site that Ken will work properly with some cars own stereos in some future. Let us know if you find cheaper way to install Phatnoise than VW's GBP200s. Jez
You could try this company : http://www.connects2.co.uk/index.html They make adaptors for all major brands including VW although you may have to call about the Touareg as its so new.
