RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] Blimey RR - you were lucky to be let off! ...3rd time lucky then [/ QUOTE ] ....2nd time in a row that I've been let off! It's my own fault - Nearly home and on familiar fast roads. My instincts had told me it was an unmarked car but I then thought I was being paranoic! He even told me that he was convinced I'd spotted him. My exhaust (hard acceleration up steep hill) had caught his attention. The exhaust sound isn't boy-racer but is very sporty when the revs are up.
RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] I dunno RR, might have to ban you from meets for your own good [/ QUOTE ] ....It's ALL your fault for inviting me to meets and corrupting me with performance cars! Ritey
Should take a leaf out of my book and just get a car thats good at making a splash and not any good at going anywhere fast

RedRobin
....I know, Dave - I have thought several times now that a car which is blisteringly fast up to 70 but not beyond might provide loads of fun but all legally! But my 'lifestyle' needs a car like a Golf.
Ritey
Get an American Escalade then, ideal for the Dorset back roads, plenty of space for your music gear etc and not that fast but plenty of opportunity to bling it
RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] he obviously thought "i best not book this old boy who has borrowed his grandsons car and didn't realise how quick it is" [/ QUOTE ] ....Ah, so that's why they always ask me who owns the car! I did tell him how ironic it was because I stick so rigidly to the 20,30,40,50 limits but that the car was a bit keen to fly when the conditions were right. He reminded me, of course, that the limit is always 70.
