So, it's a year to the day that i picked up my 'used' R32!

It's only fitting that i write a wee review and pay hommage to this fantastic car....

As i said, i picked the car up from my local dealer exactly 1 year ago, having traded my 06 white GTI in for the Deep Blue pearl 3 door. This car has been a joy from the very first turn of the key at the dealers. It immediately brought a large grin to my mush (no mean feat!) Despite my hand never being out of my pocket at the local V-power station, it has been totally addictive. From the glorious V6 soundtrack to the Haldex grip and the sheer pose value of the chunky shape, i love it. The car has always attracted admirers and a few saddo's with camera phones lol!!

I've managed to rack up over 20k miles in just under 12 months (and it's my second vehicle) testify's to the sheer draw and appeal of driving the R! So let's talk about the problems i've encountered with the car...a faulty high level brake light (warranty job,) headlights that had to be alligned as they weren't done at delivery, errr, and that's all folks!!! Making this car the least amount of hassle i've ever had from a vehicle, in the space of a year and 20k . I've driven this car very hard (most of the time) all over the scottish highlands and it never fails to impress or make me happy, it just goes and goes and goes. For this reason, amongst others, i will not be parting with it for some time to come. It's fast, grippy, smart, comfortable and you can turn up anywhere in it...as i invariably do !!

Thankyou wee R32, i love you !!

Fantastic sound, isn't it smile.gif When I got mine my brother took it for a drive and when he came back he was amused to notice a group of lads stop walking and drop their jaws as he booted it past them.

I'm really, really missing the .:R at the moment. All being well I should have it back on Wednesday which just so happens to be my birthday.

Fastlad, great review and I concur with your findings. I normally get bored with cars very quickly and I'm always looking for another one but that is certainly not the case with my R after 19 months of ownership, absolutely love it even although i's almost in the Shell garage daily

I'm glad you said that as the longest I've kept a car is 17 months tongue.gif I'm hoping this one will last longer!

Yeh, until the mark VI R3(2?6?) coes out or you get a cheap deal on a B8 S Line.
