Golfer
Hi guys, just when is/was the latest issue of the Sat-Nav disk please?. Has one been released in Jan 2008?. If so what do the changes look like, ie; is it worth paying the £99 for the latest one.
gizze
I would download the latest one, it will have speed cameras on it too. Or get the dealer to throw the latest one in.

gizze
I never open the file, I just download it and burn it to disk. I have never had a problem and I have downloaded thousands of torrents. Utorrent is as good as any, plus it takes up no resources.
edo
I have a brand new BMW Prof 2008-1 Europe Nav DVD which includes software updates for the car. I got it as part of the negotiations on buying the car. PM me if anyone is interested, otherwise it goes on ebay. What do bmw charge for the prof Nav DVD's? Biscuits
What 'updates' are there on the 2008 disk. The dealer gave me the 2007-2 disk when I bought the car, so it's not that out of date, but interested to hear of any other feature updates. P. CarMad
Ditto I'd be interested whats changed. Shame they STILL don't offer full postcode search, seems incredibility backward compared to the Tomtoms of this world these days.
Biscuits
I've started to download the torrent detailed earlier. Will let you know when (if) it is done and tested.

edo
I havent managed to find any. Possibly slightly faster, but that could be rubbish. Postcode search slightly changed - now prompts letter for town (the available ones).

CarMad
A tip if anyone is getting their updated sat-nav this way. Make sure you burn it onto a DVD+R disk, its far faster to find the routes and to navigate to new locations than than using a -R burnt disk. Biscuits
Hi, Been away all last week so not had chance to test till today, but stuck it in and it works. (Set the DVD burn speed to 1x, just to try and make sure there were no burn errors) There didn't seem to be any major updates, as it went in and just worked (after a 5 min ignition off period). Will keep you posted but seems to be good. Will try the speed camera POI's on the way home. P.
