davyk31
Anyone know an easy way to visually spot if a wheel is a replica or original fitment. As you know if you have read my other posts my X3 is supposed to be getting 4 wheels refurbed but I have a niggle in my mind that they might buy 4 cheaper replicas and perhaps sell my original wheels as a means of keeping their costs down. Wheels are the 19" Y spoke optional extra on the X3 M Sport. Anyone with a good picture would be great too. Sometimes with replicas there is a difference I think in where the BMW ///M bage is placed. Say for example the M badge is in the centre of originals it may be out on the edge of the rim on replicas.
gizze
The OEM wheels will have a proper centre cap with the badge on it, reps tend to have a sticker in the middle.
davyk31
Thanks for that but in my experience replicas have badges in the centre too, recently fitted rep RS4s to a family members and they had proper snap in centre badges.
