Mac
I've been feeling absolutely exhausted the last 2 or 3 weeks - not being able to do my gym routine, getting up bizarrely late etc. Anyway - finally went to the docs and she's told me she thinks I have a form of flu I've always thought flu was like cough/coldy type illness? Saying that I don't think I've ever had it anyway. What's the story? She's basically told me to rest for a week, keep warm and take lots of fluids. I was properly ill a fair few years ago and some of the treatment I had completely knocked me about. I was warned that for a while afterward I may be prone to getting sick (ooer) but I've experienced the exact opposite. I just can't remember the last time I was ill Confused, of London. Waylander
glandular fever by any chance? That would give the symptoms you describe.
gizze
Well I started to feel rough on Boxing day, really tired, bit of a throat every morning, aching all over and generally like flu was about to hit. I still feel like crap now, I went out for a run on Tuesday and on Thursday and then on Friday I felt awful, went to bed at 10pm (usually go around 1 to 2am) and woke up feeling better, but by midday I am feeling like crap again. Can't go out tonight as we are out tomorrow for lunch down the pub and then onto another pub in teh afternoon/evening, if I go for a beer tonight I know I will miss tomorrow. I think there is a virus going round, loads of people I know have had it on and off for the last couple of months.
PeterS
I know men don't like going to see the doctor, but I think even I might go if I'd been unwell for 3 months Hope you feel better soon - I'm sure as soon as the weather picks up again and it feels warmer everyone will feel much better Peter
gizze
I am going to go next week and get some blood tests, just to make sure it is nothing more serious, if I hadn't had loads of others say they had also been feeling rough since christmas too I would have gone sooner. Also my wife just reminded me that I have only had 3 days off over Christmas in the last 6 months, so going to have a week off too.

Calm Chris
Liver dysfunction caused by over drinking causes flu like symptoms. As does early stage diabetes
