wyliss
After much deliberation/cancelling of a Nissan Qashquai order we are finally at the point were we can order the Tiguan. We test drove the 2.0 Tdi S variant on Saturday and were very pleased with it. I think for the extra money its probably best going for the SE but from reading the pricing guide there seems to be two diesel enigines with differing BHP, any ideas on the release date for the higher of the two? Any info re the tig greatly received.

shao_khan
yeah the new variant is available now - should be on the new VW site (and waiting for the site to load gives you a chance to make a coffee - so kills 2 birds, etc). I recently had an escape version as a loaner and was very impressed - hate to think what final cost was as it had every option. Performed well. THing that impressed me most was the touch screen media centre - played DVDs, HDD, SD slot - was top notch piece of kit and so easy to use - by far best nav / media kit I have played with as OEM. We had an 'S' variant on test and that was nice, it had a few extras but we are thinking of going for the 'SE' as it comes with a good few more bits plus the the all important heat insulating glass at rear for the kids. Problem we are having is which colour to choose, black is out as my wife feels its a bit boyish but she has been advised to look at 'silver leaf'. Any comments guys/gals appreciated. davyk31
The metallic blue colour in the Tiguan looks best to me.

Immediate delivery Ok, she has gone to see the Silver leaf colour and it didnt suit the car at all. The sales guy was saying black is the most popular at the moment !. On the purchasing front the car is being aquired via a company car scheme so nominating or doing our own research re purchase is a non starter as the lease company deal direct with the manufacturer. They are talking of lead times up to 3 months !!!!
shao_khan
I had parked up next to each other Black, Silver, Grey, Dark Blue and Bright Blue Tiguans. Mine was this colour: http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/showthread.php?t=104882&page=3 And TBH I thought it looked good next to the other colours, for me it was this blue, then grey, then black - the silver and dark blue looked a bit average to me.
