Henry52
Just fitted 4 new tyres today and as the wear of the old ones was uneven I thought I'd get the alignment checked. Bit surprised to find only one wheel pointing in the right direction and none of them anywhere near the the right camber. Probably my own fault for assuming that the previous owner had the alignment done after fitting a different suspension. Anyway all sorted now except the rear camber which isn't adjustable but I do seem to remember that there is an aftermarket suspension mod to cure this. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Cheers guys.
Mook
ECS Tuning do a rear camber adjustment kit, as do Forge - you can get either from Awesome GTI or other distributors. Remember to replace the top arms, not the bottom ones to retain the same overall track width. Some auto engineers will try to convince you to put them on the bottom, but only because it's easier! Henry52
Cheers Mook, you even answered my next question, BTW I took note of your earlier thread comment and got 0 toe.
Mook
No worries, Henry. I did a write up a long time ago about how to set up the camber properly on the back of a Golf with lowered suspension and adjustable tie-arms (as they're called). Can't find it right now but will post a link to the original thread if I can.
Henry52
OMG those are expensive, isn't there an OEM part for some other VW or AUDI. Couldn't help noticing that there was an RS4 in before me and they were able to adjust his rear camber?

Mook
OMG those are expensive, isn't there an OEM part for some other VW or AUDI. Couldn't help noticing that there was an RS4 in before me and they were able to adjust his rear camber? No, it's an aftermarket only part. It's the difference between stock Golf set-up and 4 link rear suspension - I don't need any after-market arms on my S4 either. They're about £300 IIRC, but worth it to adjust the camber and make the car handle in a more "planted" way. Your call
