AZURES3
Did anyone see this bit on the cool wall last night. Clarkson was going on about how the M3 was now cool as all the cocks who brought them had stopped and the enthusiasts were buying them know. In his view the new cocks cars was the RS4, he then went on to say all Audi's Good old clarkson and his views Had 2 comments already at work AZ
patently
Now, don't for a moment think I'm going to confuse the statement "Cocks now buy Audis" with "All Audi drivers are cocks". But... I have to say, I have noticed in the past year or so that when there is a cock behind you, being aggressive, driving like a prat, tailing you, and so on, then as he flashes past in the opening that I make for him, instead of seeing a blue and white propellor on the back as I expect, I keep seeing four rings. Perhaps we might have to call them "the four cock rings"

Dave
I have to agree with him.. Audi used to be the brand that I called " the thinking mans car", but unfortunately everyone and his dog now drives one. I can see why so many people buy them.. the build quality is second to none, but that well kept secret that so many of us knew is now out there. Teacake
The moment Clarkson asked what car all the M3 cocks had moved to, I said "RS4" out loud. I don't drive much these days, but was on the M4 a lot last week, and it seemed that every time I got into the overtaking lane there was a car with four rings and a quattro badge, right up my chuff, trying to barge past. Audi are also set on quantity now with a big push to launch lots of new models and reach the 1,000,000 milestone I believe. AZ
Chav
I told ya. Audis are driven by ****s mostly. Especially RS4s. Definitely the case in cheshire. If an RS4 doesn't have a girl driving it (pretty common), its being driven by someone who thinks its cool to drive in 2nd gear everywhere. Also, they are always sooo sodding clean. Do some people not drive their cars - at all?
theduisbergkid
Pretty academic, as a new RS4 or M3 is out of my budget anyway, but the image wouldn't bother me at all. All 'interesting' cars have some image or other, and if it has no image at all, then its probably Korean and you wouldn't be listening to Clarkson anyway... stooH
If an RS4 doesn't have a girl driving it (pretty common) Mmm... something about a woman in a nice powerful car that gives me the horn. Oops did I just say that out loud?

Teacake
Pull over then Why should I? Good God man, I was doing 65mph, anyone who wants to go faster than that on a motorway should wait patiently for the 15 minutes it takes for me to realise there's an empty lane to my left. :buttcheeks:

330dcoupe
Well, I've also been saying it for years. Some BMW drivers are still cocks - but we seem to have a cock in every make of car now. The new Lexus IS seems to have attracted quite a few, i must say. I don't think I'd be far wrong to suggest most aggressive drivers of a BMW, Audi and Lexus are Reps or Company car owners. They're probably in a hurry to sell some coffee beans. But as time goes by, car's of such standards will become cheaper and cheaper and then easily obtainable for a wider custom. So back in the days, when credit was hard to get, people who were on a lower income, would rely on their cheap hatch backs to give people grief with (I always used to associate scum drivers with hatch backs ...and Vectras ;-) ) - and as time goes buy, the very same people are now able to afford the more prestigious brands. So perhaps there is a theory behind Clarksons claim - this might not be it, but for some reason, this is the way I look at it.
RedRobin
Mmm... something about a woman in a nice powerful car that gives me the horn.Oops did I just say that out loud? ....There's an echo in here! A cock is a cock whatever they are driving but I've noticed that lots of (but not all) Audi drivers are hung up on thinking they've got something to prove. The attitude is "I've got a stealth car that doesn't look fast and I want to show you I'm the fastest/greatest/whatever". This same type doesn't like being overtaken. It's a bad driving attitude for any driver to have. I don't think we should take it all so seriously but personally BMW drivers don't bother me so much. Jeremy Clarkson was on great form last night :notworthy:. And did anyone see the following prog on the St Naziare WW2 raid which he both wrote and presented - Major respect to how he presented it - He brought the whole event alive and was humorous and yet gave huge respect to the Britisher Commandos involved. My dad was a WW2 front-liner and what JC did was extremely good.
