Adam
went in to local Mitsu dealer who are the Ralliart specialist in London and handily just down road from me. They have 2 FQ300s one in black and one in red. Sales guys were hopeless - seemed to take me seriously when they asked me what I drive (and I explained what an S3 was) but can't take me out in either car - brand new so fair enough will organise a demonstrator for me but they have to get a Ralliart driver to do the test - when I asked why they said they weren't qualified to drive such a quick car But I said "I have test driven Porsches, M3s, RS4s etc with no bother" "well sir their salesmen must be more confident drivers than we are" er right - so he take smy details I am not going to spend £30k+ on a car I have never driven FFS.... ...needless to say I still haven't heard anything - you'd think they would want ot shift a car that is going to superceded by the Evo VIII in a few months
Dave
Your best bet mate would be to contact Ralliart themselves.. go along to their factory and try all the different cars... Dave
loddrik
I test drove a 7 at warrenders, they took most of the drive and then let me have a go , it has taken great willpower for me not to get one, although I do prefer the Makinen 6. RS4_Barry
Ralliart are no more in the uk. It used to be that ralliart uk were the sole importers of evos into the uk but now this is dealt with by dealers as per any other evo. The guys that ran ralliart uk set up their own company called xtreme. Who import and tune evos and other performance mitsubishi cars.
RS4_Barry
oh yeah and the fq300 is a waste of money 305bhp over 280 as std for an extra £1500. All that has been done to an fq300 is an exhaust and filter upgrade. Evos are all restricted (due to jap laws n stuff) if you were to buy a std 7 fit a hks exhaust and induction kit and a decat pipe u would have 315bhp and would cost u less than a grand! U will find that very few dealerships will allow u a drive in an evo but they are terrific cars if you were near by you'd be welcome to try mine! fatcat
I was fortunate enough to drive a couple of Evo 7's at Palmersport last year, both been seriously modded by xtreme, one of the ones I drove was 450bhp ! Great thing was, the guys from xtreme sat in with you and 'encouraged' you every bit of the way.... great fun.
Lagoo
There is a Ralliart showroom in Ware, Herts! They seem very helpful in there! They let my mate take one out for a couple of hours! He was an exsisting customer has the Shogun Evo! Adam you obviuosly looked like a Boy racer!! You weren't wearing that Ben sherman shirt and white trainers were you? Adam
cheeky fecker - had just polished the trainers - they were so shiny they gave off radiation not much head room in those Evos - had to take off my back to front baseball cap an eryfink just read the Evo8 will be £3k cheaper than a 7 - and the new FQ300 cheaper than their 7 FQ300s (of which there are at least 50 still unsold in UK) - they should have seriously been kissing my arse

Woppum
Go to SGT in Tame, they specilise in Lotus, subaru, mitsi, and alpha. I test drove both the GTA 147 and the evo 8 fq 300 in one day. Got about half an hour in each car, doing like 100 in 30 zones, he was a giggle. And i am only 20, and look about 12 Just walked in, booked a test drive, and off we shot

Blue
the funny thinkg is that an eve stops being faster when you go past a certain BHP level. A 450 Evo wouldn't be much faster than a 350bhp one on the track....at least that's what we tested on the ring Think this is the same for most sportscars... It's more the brake/suspension setup that comes into play

[/ QUOTE ] The FQ 300 has an HKS exhaust £550 HKS hardpipe induction Kit and filter £300 and the uprated headlamps which are a £1000 option so the £1500 asking price is not to bad. Adding a de-cat pipe may well start to cause fuel cuts as the standard ECU cant cope.
