alarm system on e36 coupe

i a currently doing an engine transplant from a 318is to a 323i engine.

my problem is the alarm the 323i has an alarm and remote locking where as the 318is does not have either and i dont really want to start hackin about with al the if possible to avoid. if i simply dont change any of the boxes behind the dash and leave the plugs for it that ar in the loom will the engine run fine without it ? please help
