I've also had F1 Eagle GSD3s on my Leon Cupra R and I thought they were pretty good. sidicks Posted August 10, 2008 Report Share Posted August 10, 2008 When I had my S3 it ran Toyo Proxo's T1-s (or something like that), which were great in all conditions, and a great compromise from a performance per £ perspective. I get to drive a variety of new cars on various tyres in my line of work, and the ones with Mich Pilot Sports have so much more grip, you think your driving a different car. PetrolDave Posted August 11, 2008 Report Share Posted August 11, 2008 I used to use Yokohama AVS Sport on my 8L S3 - great tyres with good dry weather performance and little degradation in the wet, and life pretty good too. More recently on my RS4 I've had Pirelli P Zero Rosso (performance OK, life rubbish - 9000 miles only), Michelin PS2s (performance better, slightly less road noise than the PZeros, more expensive, but 13000 miles) and currently Goodyear F1 Assymetrics (performance good, road noise more than PS2, take time to bed-in, cheapest of the three (60% of the cost of PS2s!), life - too early to tell). I wouldn't get the PZero Rossos again - too expensive - I'd stick with the PS2s if the price was sensible but I'd say go for the F1 Assymetrics. Opted for the Michelines PS2s and managed to get them for a good price as supply only. £108 inc vat. and got them fitted when I had my wheels refurbed.
