danny.mcmahon
Hey guys, Have been looking into getting cruise control fitted to my Mk4 R32 for a few weeks now, the best fitted price I could find with a reputable company was £149 with AwesomeGTi. This is on offer anyway and I have heard a few good reviews about these guys so it seemed like a good bet. Had a scan of eBay to see how much the parts would be to have a crack myself and it turns out the bits come to about £65. Then came across this listing:- cruise control vw/audi/skoda seat mk4 Golf/A3/leon etc on eBay, also, Volkswagen, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Nov-08 16:31:20 GMT) This is AwesomeGTi offering cruise control fitted with genuine VW parts, all for £117.50. A bargain if you ask me, just thought I'd shove this on here as maybe a few more people might want to snap it up. Spoke to a chap called andy on the phone to make an appointment for the work doing, ended up with him also arranging for a free 6 hour trial of their APR map to be flashed to the car for me to try it out! This is 6 hours of driving and not just 6 hours from when the map is loaded. Cheers DannyMac
Henry52
I fitted cruise myself bought bits of VW for £65. It's not difficult but has to be enabled on vag-com so if you haven't got one then that's a real good deal. Do let us know about the ARP map cos I've got one of their outfits about a mile from my house. cheers Henry

danny.mcmahon
Bazza Danny, don't bother with the APR map. Trust me that it'll make absolutely feck all difference. Not entirely sure whether or not mine has had the 6463 update though, figured that if I just went for the trial and what I think is this hesitation issue goes away, I know for definite and get to try out the map. The lad on the phone pointed out to me that he has known this map being applied before and people gaining absolutely no power at all but said it was more of a drivability issue. I would go to a VW garage and enquire about the 6463 update but they all seem to be complete w**kers around here. Anyone know of a good stealers in west yorkshire?
