Most dealers are just as bad, not just Lexus. They all prejudge, if you dont fit the look of their default buying person they wont give you the time of day.

I'm not your typical Audi driver though. :) Most people would not associate me with the car I drive.

Despite this, if you literally have to wave your money under their noses then I would quite happily go elsewhere. I'd even buy a Beemer before a Lexus! :P

if you're a real lexus dealer, then i'm a chinaman, no-one would do so much damage to their company by spouting such b0ll0cks.... Unless they're working their notice due to lack of sales and don't give a stuff. Am i warm ?

But, like the people here at peartree productions, a pipe of pringles and some sparkling wine makes everything seem better. We even might go to long stanton spice museum later. Or the owl sanctuary.

Would love to join you in some fascinating banter, but i'm presenting a military quiz show on cable on uk tv gold, then on my early morning slot on radio norwich later.

Happy christmas ! +++

aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa

:roflmao:I love how the accusation of sounding like a 14 year old wasn't objected against. But even better your comment re-inforced this accusation. Priceless.

People wasting dealers' time. Boo hoo, we've heard it all before. You aren't the only person here who sells or has sold cars before. See my comments from last week you obviously failed to read:

Tom, I chose to ignore your irrelevant bull**** rantings as I feel you are just trying to raise the game here a little. Let me tall you that I am the master of this and have come accross your type many times before. My advise to you is that if you want to play with the big boys get your mothers permission first. come and have a go if you think you're hard enough you big girls blouse!

This is all very intriguing.

Whilst everyone else seems to be joining in the banter, I can't help thinking Tom is actually serious with his comments about Lexus cars.

Maybe he actually feels they're a threat?

Or maybe he should accept a degree of subjectivity.

It's no use claiming Clarkson always talks nonsense, then quoting him verbatim about how the M3 is better than the IS-F "in every area". In fact, what Clarkson said - and what many other reviewers have agreed - is that the IS-F is surprisingly good in every area, and is very nearly as good as the M3 as an overall package. EVO magazine, for example, rate it very highly and they are renowned for being particularly demanding when it comes to the driving dynamics and 'feel' of a car.

If I was in the market for a fifty grand (or shall we say 35 grand used) super saloon, it'd be a close run thing between the M3 and IS-F. And I'd probably go for the IS-F, knowing that I drive on the road not the track. And that it costs alot less to service. But I'd get rid of those fecking stupid fake pipes!!

Some Lexus models still lag behind the German competition, and some are ... an aquired taste in the styling department. However, they are statistically more reliable than anything German, the IS is arguably the best looker in its class, and the only real competitor to the LS is the S Class - both of which are in an entirely different league to the A8 and 7 series. (Interesting to note that BMW are so impressed with the LS they've copied it for the new 7....)

Raise the game, when after the torrent of abuse and wild accusations at the beginning of the thread did you lower it?

My type? Are you talking about every other person on the forum objecting to what you're going on about? Or the apparent "Time wasters", the latter of which is something i'm not.

Also, for the consideration of everybody else, may I forward you to here: Elocution Lesson, elocution coach, elocution training, English communication skills

EDIT: I'm not being serious. I'm just over-exaggerating, I can appreciate the IS-F is probably a good car having read about the Long termer in EVO. But I wouldn't have one over an M3 I suspect :)

Do I detect that someone has been tickeling your arse with a feather or are you just so up yourself that you can't have a bit of banter?

That was quick...am guessing it wasn't a sale?

Or maybe the feckers just grabbed the keys and said "see you in 48 hours" ??:roflmao:

Here's a challenge to all of you. Pick up the phone and call your local Lexus dealership, when they answer I'd like you to say " Hello, I'm a cock that drive a Audi and I take myself too seriously - can you put me through to the gentleman that has sussed me for being a TIT please" The first one to find me wins a 48 hour test drive in the RX400h I CHALLENGE YOU ALL

How are we supposed to get put through to you when your Mummy says it's bed time? :(

You haven't been a good boy this year, Santa won't be bringing you toys. At least in this economic climate, the coal will be welcome. :)
