Sad because apart from the real silly bits it was great, I actually checked back on Xmas day a few times, I read some out to the wife who woke up Boxing Day asking what Lexus Maindealer had been up to, that;s the extent of how good we thought it was.

To be honest you could make a great comedy out of it.

Hope he returns and most of all hope he's OK after all it was only ever a bit of fun.

I wonder if he was told to remove the posts by his boss (if he really was who he claimed ); or mummy told him to.

Unfortunately the "web archive" site doesn't have anything. Although you can go back a long way : http://web.archive.org/web/20021211113209/www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=

If someone's removed their posts, (quite legitimately - although due to a mistake) I'm not sure they could be restored :(

Shame he popped in, removed them and didn't even say Hi or Bye

If those figures for Lexus are accurate it shows what a battering they're taking more or less completely because the IS220d is such a poor competitor to the 320d and A4 2.0TDI. The fact they have no diesel alternatives in their bigger models doesn't exactly help either.

The new IS will be too late for several Lexus dealerships I fear.

Agreed. The IS isn't a bad bit of kit (esp used), but it doesn't exactly get the juices flowing compared to their German competitors when considered new.

What must be more worrying for Lexus is the fact that in the US - their biggest market - sales fell by 32.4% last month. For reference, Audi were down 9.3%, BMW 40.2% and Mercedes-Benz 32.1%.
