MikeA2B
Hi All I have fitted a re-con injection pump to my A4 2.5TDI but I need to re-code the pump. Can anyone help? I will need the full version of Vag-Com - I am happy to pay someone to call down (as my car won't run) and help me with this. Thanks in advance Mike
petsy
I can get a cable but not sure if I would be able to do the coding without someone more experienced to give guidance as I am a real newbie with it. Whereabouts in M/c are you Mike?
MikeA2B
Just an update guys, Firstly many thanks to everyone who has offered to help me, I really appreciate it! I managed to get my old laptop (with a full version of Vag-Com and SK Pang leads) off my friend, I thought the SKC was on my spare key tag but this wasn't the case So, after a bit of searching through the VW/Audi forums I come across a peice of kit called Vag-Tacho, I managed to get a used lead / software off fleabay for £20, this should give me a login code (hopefully) that will let me access the immobiliser without the SKC code, I should get this in the next few days. I will keep you updated on how I get on, Thanks again chaps! Mike
shark_90
Which version of VAG-Tacho did you get? The one I have didn't work with my B6 A4.
MikeA2B
Vag Tacho 2.2 USB If this version doesn't work I wonder if I can get a later software version and use the same lead?
MikeA2B
It is this one (I think): vagtool vag-com keyless bmw carsoft
shark_90
No the software goes with the lead, it's not as simple of that unfortunately! If it is 2.2 then you might be in luck, but I know my version (which is older but can't remember which version off hand) didn't work with my B6. Give it a go! I agree, from what I have read its not a good idea to upgrade the software using the same lead. I'll keep you posted! MikeA2B
Another update! Vag Tach 2.2 does not work with the Audi A4 B6, I tried it on my mums mk5 golf and it worked a treat, within 10 mins I had her login code. Unfortunately, not the case for my car, but for £20 it was worth a try. My mate has managed to get hold of another gadget which should hopefully work, i'm keeping my fingers crossed. MikeA2B
Result: I got my car back yesterday, the handheld device my mate borrowed worked a treat, it hacked my security code and adapted the new diesel injection pump. The car runs like new again, just glad I got it back, its been a great car up till this happening. Thanks to everyone who has offered thier help! Mook
Glad it's sorted Mike Pls can you avoid posting the same thing three times across the forum. You can put any VAG-COM requests in this forum and you'll get a quick response.
