RedRobin
You enjoy patronising and trying to embarrass people? Remind me, are you an adult ....BO! I only enjoy it when people are so up their own arses I think it's needed to shake them up a bit. I don't care about what being an 'adult' is supposed to be. At what age do you think you become an 'adult' (apart from the defined legal definition)? Edited June 8, 2009 by RedRobin
Mac
>>> BO! Probably when I realised that behaving like that would leave me with no friends, little respect for me or my opinions, and all likelyhood of a punch in the face in social situations

So you've become an 'adult' quite recently then Nothing personal meant, Mac, I just think it's sad when people think they are 'adult' and become so serious about everything. Stand up for how you are and not how you think others want you to be. Edited June 8, 2009 by RedRobin

Tipex
I can't honestly see what all the fuss is about? If someone wants to put ^^^^ to refer to the post above then what's the problem? technically, it uses less bandwidth than re-quoting the whole post does it not? I don't do it myself because I assume people will realise I'm making a reply to the above post, and obviously it doesn't work for anything but the post directly above. I do however, think it's very funny when the swear filter is used to change things about :D that amuses me greatly, as does all the banter on here, although I can't help feeling RR's been getting it in the neck a bit lately? Mac
I don't think there is a problem Tipex - I think the idea that it serves any function is up for question, and I suspect that's actually what was being questioned

RedRobin
although I can't help feeling RR's been getting it in the neck a bit lately? ....Thankyou! It does happen to me from time to time here on TSN. The banter here often has a slightly more cruel edge than elsewhere. I tend to respond but it doesn't bother me because I'm an arrogant and snobbish child (and I drive a GTI with chavvy LED DRL's which are a different shape to Audi's)

Muppetboy
Think you've completely missed the point here Robin - supposed to be working? Is that some form of patronisation to imply people are doing something wrong? Some people may not be working - they be on a break or whatever - but many will be accessing via a work system which is often monitored. We have an open Internet policy for example but that doesn't mean downloading/viewing anything is fine. It's all about respect for where people are and what they're doing If something has a WW tag THEY have a choice whether to view it or not. If it doesn't, and there's a big pic of a girl being provocative in the middle of the post they don't have a choice. In a work environment that could be at best mildly embarrassing and at worse a disciplinary. Can I also add that I don't understand the vvvv .... >>>> things either. I've never seen them anywhere but from you What's wrong the quote button? The vvvv isn't clear as often your posts are on a page break so the you've no idea what it's referring to anyway  People have different number of posts on their view for example. It doesn't matter I guess, but I can't see they actually serve a purpose other than to give people something on to whinge/moan/question. From a Net etiquette point of view it could be viewed as being 'rude' as being a waste of bandwidth too Of course that's less important now everyone has high-bandwidth connections, so people tend not to bother too much about net etiquette anymore do they? Except maybe for the sizing of pictures? The reaction to the photo does seem to be a little over the top, just a girl in a t-shirt after all? Easy for me to say though as I never read TSN while at, no fecking time! I sometimes post photos in threads of Kelly Brook, much more provocative than RR's photo - didn't realise I might be in for a bollocking Agree with Tipex, RR does seem to be treated a little harshly recently... Paul
Sorry But i agree with Mac, Mook, DHA etc with the inapropriate image especially without a warning. It could cause a user embarrasment, their works may choose to withdraw access to the site, or at worse disaplinary action. For the record, I also dont get all the vvvv vvvvv >>>> <<<< either. I have been on forums long enough to know it refers to a post above. If its that important, there is a quote function, it works for everyone else, or reply to a person by name! As pointed out it doesnt work with page breaks anyway, so the idea is flawed. Page breaks are set by the user in their personal settings, ie, forum default, 5, 10,20,30,40 posts per page. Mook
For the record, I also dont get all the vvvv vvvvv >>>> <<<< either. I don't either, but I think the more you suggest to Robin that he shouldn't do it or that you don't understand it, the more he'll either ignore you or carry on doing it. It's only an Internet We used to have some great word swaps in TsN v1 - like the word that you would type that would be automatically be changed to "Mac", because he used to use it so much Robin, FYI, vBulletin (which is the forum software we use) is a great package and offers us enough diversity of features to keep 99% of the people happy all of the time. We can make tweaks to it, but not every tweak request can be accommodated. One of the main reasons that posts can't be edited by users after a while is to stop people going back and changing stuff (we had an instance of this with LMD a while ago if you remember). If you want a post edited, just ask one of the moderators

You're right about my personality - I tend to either ignore or carry on regardless. English Public School plus a very strict father (many blessings on him) result in me not reacting well to being told what to do. Ask me nicely and I'll always try to do my best. Anyroadup, your words are appreciated Oh btw, my use of .... is principally to indent/follow-on and to satisfy my design layout typography brain as it's hardwired. Not essential but just my style. . SINGH
I think the S4 is more a rival to the BMW 335I, both in price and performance. It compares quite favourably too.
gizze
They are very, very similar. The 335i still has a slight edge as a drivers car, but the S4 is right up there as one of the best Audis ever built. A DSG avant is very tempting, plus having the S badge rather than calling it a 3.0T will help residuals no end, making it a better buy than the 335i. I have to say it is the first time I have ever thought an Audi appeals as much as the BMW.
