dsedin
Having got our Polo Gti back from the body repair shop after 2 weeks of a hire car ( Fiesta 1.6TDCi diesel) I have noticed how heavy the clutch is. My sore knee has returned!!!!! Our car has done 48k miles (in 8 yrs) mostly city driving but clutch still shows no signs of slipping. Local garage reckons it will become heavy as it wears but I have also been told by a VW dealer that it could be the pedal box?? Can anyone comment................don't fancy spending $400 or so on new clutch if it won't improve it that much. Could it just be that more modern cars (3 or fewer yrs old) have much lighter clutches due to technology evolution?? Thanks DS PS can anyone advise how to edit my info which appears here.ie get rid of "shak's pony" I have put car type in My Details?? johnoirl
I had the same problem. got new clutch and it was light for 2 weeks and then got heavey. also squeaks too when pressed, its coming from the bushes from the release fork. which should have been replaced at time of clutch being done.
