Update on Bluetooth compatibility ???

Hi all,

My father just got a 56 plate 7 series from a dealership (I have a 3 series convertible, but it's older without the technology so I don't have this problem ). His current Sony Erricson is not fully compatible, but the good news is he's due an upgrade. However, the most obvious replacement listed by 3 (his supplier) is the K800i. Does anyone have any experience with the K800i ? He'd rather stick to Sony Erricson, but may move if anyone can confirm which mobile supplied on the 3 network is definitely compatible with his car! (PS I've already checked the list on the BMW site - they're all somewhat out of date, and I've even checked with Sony-Erricson ...)

No directory from memory, so No top 8 ect.

I have a K800i which I use with my 57-plate 3 series. Seems to be pretty much fully compatible. Loads the directory and does top ten for example. Although I couldn't tell you if this is the same bluetooth system as in a 56-plate 7 series.
