Mack04
Hi all, I'm looking to replace my stardard heating controls in my A6 Quattro 2005 with the digital unit, i'm hoping this will be a straight swap, could anyone let me know if it wont work before i purchase it. Thanks
craigyb
Not really a straight swap, the connections are the same, but the digital unit will go into CP mode and not work. This has to be cleared by the dealership and the codings/adaptations have to be set for your options, coding can be done by VAG com.

Thanks Craigy fro the prompt reply, could someone with the VAG com clear the CP Mode rather than the dealership, i'm guessing it wont be cheap for them to get involved. craigyb
no, VAG COM will not clear CP as it requires an online connection to the GEKO database in Germany. I would not say it needed to go to the dealership if it could be cleared by VAG COM.

Mack04
Can anyone assist in finding the correct part number for a 2005 A6 Climate control unit, its for a 2005 C6 model, but it is the grey unit, black buttons with the digital display without the heated seat switches, i can find the newer black unit (4F2 820 043 P) for the later models but dont want to go to the expense of changing other items.
