Hi,

I have recently purchased the following car:

Audi A4 saloon 2.0T Fsi Quattro S-Line Special Edition 6 speed manual gearbox 2007

I'm considering getting a remap. There's a lot of choice. So, I'd like to use a reputable firm who have experience in this particular model and provide a warranty.

Can anyone here recommend anyone?

Are there any other performance enhancements that are safe and not detrimental to the value of the car?

Thanks a lot! +++

Welcome to Tyresmoke! :beer:

What sort of warranty are you looking for? I'm afraid if you look around most of the "warranty" plans that are offered aren't worth the paper they're written on. Be very careful when looking at that sort of thing and make sure you're certain of what it does and doesn't cover.

If you'd like someone with experience of the 2.0T, I run one myself in the Skoda. If you'd like any information, just give me a shout.

Thanks.

So, with your Stage 1 remap - what sort of power curve does it deliver? do you have any graphs? do you use a rolling road?

Also, I'm interested in Stage 2 and 3. How loud is the performance exhaust? What are the negatives of performing these mods?

Cheers

I don't have an example graph at the moment but mine is going to a rolling road day in a few weeks. I don't use a rolling road, all the work is done on the road with datalogging and customised to your requirements.

As for the exhaust, it's up to you which one you use. If you are looking for a subtle exhaust then I can recommend a Milltek exhaust which is what I have on mine. It's nice and free flowing without being loud. If you want something a bit louder then there are many to choose from in the aftermarket. Stage 3 involves a rather expensive high pressure fuel pump, and is really for those who want to take things a bit further with perhaps a bigger turbo further down the line.

As for the negatives, you'll be running higher turbo boost pressure which could reduce turbo life if not driven sensibly and your clutch could wear more quickly if you have a heavy right foot.
