DHA
Got my DoF calculation a little wrong so there is more than I wanted, but reasonably please with the result. Might try again with a tripod later.

DHA
yeah the join has started to leak. Problem is in this weather there is no chance of fixing it, will have to wait for the thaw.......whenever that might come!??
CarMad
errrm if it was that cold would they get longer? Very true, the sun melts a little bit of snow everyday but as you can see there is still plenty left and it seems more to come tonight. :D

DHA
So after purchasing my 70-300mm lens I thought that would be the final lens purchase for a while. Somehow I have purchased a 17-55mm f2.8, and a very nice new toy it is. Must stop buying camera stuff! But I have been taking photos, from tonight

CarMad
Indeed, great shots. I've taken some from the same places but only with a Fuji F30, not quite the same as an SLR.
Mac
The Fuji F30 is an awesome camera in my opinion. I still use mine for all my diving stuff, although I'm not prob'ly going to switch to the G11.

Tobes49
Some shots from a local event called the Y Factor, It to try and find under 21 local music talent, Held at the Picturedrome in Northampton I manged to blag the use of flashes on stage during the live performances So with a Gridded flash on the left rear of the stage and Gridded flash on the right side (inline with lead singer) More pictures of Northamptonshire Y factor 2010 on Flickr

I'm considering selling it to get an S90 but haven't decided on it yet.

DHA
So with a Gridded flash on the left rear of the stage and Gridded flash on the right side (inline with lead singer) This is my favourite, looks like it was shot in a studio rather than on a stage. Good work mate!

Tobes49
Some of my latest photos: Was asked to shoot the final of the Y factor (at a different location) what a nightmare that was, Massive 40ft deep stage every color light under the sun. Oh well here they are:

CarMad
Some great shots there, try using a polariser on a few to reduce some of the glare.
GCab
I like this a lot, the absolute straightness of the breakwater at right angles to the horizon, with the natural stuff breaking all round it, makes it feel very calming and Zen Have you ever tried using a ND filter and slow shutter speed for waves? I don't live near any and have never got myself organised to try it when I visit my folks on the South Coast
