keemo
Hi All, Firstly hi as I am new to the board!! I am hoping someone can help me turn the speed warning on the digital panal off on my newly acquired golf 2.0 gt tdi (05)? It has been set to 30mph and keeps going off and as you can imagine its driving me buts! I have read the manual and it says the speed setting should be under the ice tyres on the setup however I cant seem to find it. Can someone please advise on how to turn it off? Thanks in advance!! Scotty
Hi & welcome to TSN. I don't know specifically but on my last three Audis (I'm sure it's the same system) it's been the same : "Drive the vehicle at a minimum of 5 km/h. Press the SET button for at least 2 seconds." burble
Does the warning message on the screen specifically mention winter tyres? There are 2 different warning systems, one is for when winter tyres are on and the other can be set to an arbitrary speed. Do you have the full height screen between the speedo adn rev counter or is it a half height version?
Andy_Bangle
I couldn't work how to do it on my A6 so drove slightly over the legal limit and pressed the set speed button at some un-godly speed. Now it only goes off at 140 Welcome to the forum and I'll leave the sensible answer to burble
keemo
Thanks for all the help guys! However I eventually worked it out so for anyone else having the same irritating issue you simply choose the speed warning on the screen and whilst stationary with the engine running you press and hold the select button and then use the rocker botton to move the speed up and down or to 0 if you want it off. So simple when you know how!! Thanks again guys!! M
