james 2cv
Hi My late 2003 Polo 1.4 55kW starts and runs fine, but every now and again cuts out for about 2 seconds when driving along at steady speed or accelerating (not when decelerating). At the same time the rev counter drops towards zero, before recovering to its previous value. The engine does not need to be restarted. No fault codes visible when checked via the OBD port... It is coil on plug so no plug leads to worry about, and as very unlikely for all 4 coils to fail at once, I imagine that it would not be a coil problem... I am aware of people having throttle issues, but these tend to be associated with the engine stalling when decelerating... So could be a wiring issue, or may be a MAF sensor or temperature sensor? Or...? Ideas please! Thanks James
