Symptoms aint looking good !

Lack of power,

Loadsa oil in the intercooler pipes again,

Nasty noise like a hairdryer blowing into a carrier bag @ 1800 rpm

Black smoke when Turbo kicks in,

Is this the death of my TURBO ? still well within warenty but they dont seemed to be to concerned about it after mentioning all of the above, on last weeks Major service "just bring it in so as we can take another look".

Just waiting for the "Big Bag" and the inevitable black cloud of doom !, dam thing gets treated with respect aswell, I got a 174 because you dont need to hammer the feck out of it to get power. Have a spare day next week so looking forward to the Prognosis.

Any Comments or suggestions welcome, just for the record its got a whole lot worst since the major service ?

If you are in warranty then don't sweat it. I had a new turbo and DPF fitted under warranty at 42000 miles to my Sportline. DPF was £769 + vat, turbo £1200 + vat plus 2 days labour at no coat to me. Make sure you get a courtesy van. They found that the DPF had collapsed inside when they took it off to replace the turbo, so they had to replace both.

Could be a more like a split hose.

Hence the turbo spinning up, but no go and the boost venting through the split.

Balck smoke due to turbo spinning up and ecu putting in more fuel, as it thinks the turbo is ablout to spool!

Checked for splits, none aparent to the eye even when reving hard & co-incidently milage 40k same as Tony`s that went wrong, its already had a new wastegate so gona be booking it in for a new pacemaker as soon as a slack day is on the horizon.

Its either;

1/ Turbo on the way out

2/ the pipe supoplying the inlet air has popped off, and its sucking too much air in - Ive had this on a couple of vans, but doesn't explain the oil

I personally think 1/, but like has been said get a second opinion

Its official POWER HAS GONE ! went for a spin in my freinds standard 130 then both got back into mine what a let down, like I said as soon as a day is available it will be in and by all accounts takes a few days aswell.

This is complicated because my licence still hasnt come back from DVLA combined with my R having no tax not that that matters being burried at the back of the garage somewhere, so unless I stack myself up with admin for a week or make Daves door im fecked !
