oussellam
Yo guys, I have got a Gt Tdi 150 pd mk4 and looking at getting a remap. A live in Edinburgh and had a few quotes. Am looking for a garage thats going to give me as much power as possible . . . . without putting the car in danger of damage. i.e gearbox change, flywheel or clutch slipping as a direct result of the remap. Am willing to travel if the price and recommendation is there. Also what sort of result are we looking at with a remap from a 150 gt tdi, am assuming something between 180bhp-200bhp. What type of 0-60 times would i get roughly and what is a good comparision. Thanks and i hope you guys can help. B
burble
I can't help with specific recommendations in/around Edinburgh but I had a Revo map put on my PD150 when it had about 15K on the clock. When I sold the car it had 96K on the clock with no signs of the map buggering things up. Certainly the clutch and gearbox were still spot on. From memory mine was mapped to around 190bhp. No idea on 0-60 times but the map made a huge difference to how the car drove.
JonC
I'm Edinburgh based, so perhaps I can help. Try Star performance (STAR Performance: Home) in Fife. Chap who owns it (Jim) knows his stuff. He's a GIAC software retailer. Drivers in Glasgow (Drivers Performance Car Centre :: Glasgow, Scotland, UK best for Audio Upgrades, Car Accessories, Dension, Ipod Connections, Alloys Wheels, Headlights, Styling, Sat Navs, Bluetooth Hands Free, Performance Tyres, Speakers and Amplifiers) are Revo dealers and would be worth a call. Chap here on TSN (Shark90) has an in-depth knowledge of mapping/software etc and although based down south, may be able to provide you with a mapping code for your car remotely (or something like that, so geographical distance is not a concern). Contact him through here (by PM) or here: Shark Performance - Volkswagen Audi Seat Skoda Mercedes BMW Ford Renault Tuning Good luck Edited January 25, 2010 by JonC
Tipex
Down south? Shark is most definately 'up north' in prime whippet country! Definately worth having a chat with him though.
