Is the kess v2 able to remap through the obd port more vehicles than lets say 99% of all other tools similier to that>????? and please please as a respected remap installer, give your honest answer ??? +++ cheers shark

Kessv2 is a very good tool and I am currently considering getting some for dealers, as the support is excellent and the range of cars is very good. We are quite specialist though to be honest, we stick to the cars we know and love which is mainly German stuff, although we do have a couple of dealers who are Fiat and Alfa specialists and so we cater for them too +++

Are you remapping any of the tricore cars?

no need to make anyone feel small, thats not nice, but to see you bite back does put a smile on me face:roflmao: tell you what, lets just forget it, you got a nice job, most taxi drivers are helpfull, being a hgv driver myself, with a remapped scania, lol have a nice day+++

Your making assumptions about what I do for a living based on a few Internet forum posts, btw, I did reply to your question about the mondeo, but I'm not quite sure how the visitor message board thingy works to be honest, you may have to view my profile to see my reply.

well done me days work, in me scania, came home, done the washing up, again, swept out the budgies, cleaned the fishes, and the filter system, washed the car, fed the dog and cats, came on here b4 the wife gets home, now just hope i havent upset anyone, or 2many, have a great day everyone :roflmao:

The company you appeared to promote in a post above was South West Remap - but you claim not to be associated or a be a remapper.

thank you for your honest opinion, and answer,

personaly no i do not remap

The first post I've quoted above goes into detail about cleaning fishes and filter systems - something not many people either do or would think to add in a thread like this.

Then strangely on the SouthWest Remap website (and what a website it is :roflmao: nice Lady GaGa track and overall design :ffs: ) there is a whole section about ponds and fish filter picutres - I don't believe in coincidences...

 so you're either the same person or a family member...?

320d04 - What exactly is your problem? You seem to have a real chip on your shoulder and change between slagging people off and then trying to be friendly with them??!!

You won't make many firends on here with attitude like that, but then i guess you don't care about that.

As far as I was concerned, he outed himself when he responded to my misnomer about cars having carbs, you simply wouldn't know stuff like that unless you were in the trade.

Regarding the attitude, he's doing himself no favours, I cant imagine anyone on this forum going to southwest remap now, and being a popular forum, anyone googling for them, will most likely find this thread, not exactly good for business, not to mention that most things on forums spread to other forums, as most of us will be on at least one other forum.

Had he come on here offering genuine advice, and a bit of friendly banter etc, he might find people respect his opinion a bit more.

I sussed him a little while ago if I'm honest, and thought I'd just play with him for a bit, and see where it led.

He pm'd me, or rather did some strange 'visitor message' thing on my profile (it's probably still there if you look at my profile) about my old Mondeo ST TDCi, asking if I'd had it remapped, and was it any good, as his 2.2 155bhp Mondeo had been mapped to 185bhp, interesting first pic that comes up on his home page eh!

I wonder if Lady Ga Ga's legal team know he uses her music on his website?

Am also loving the fact he doesn't know the name of his own company, apparently the web address and home page call it 'south west remap' but in his blurb, the one with the highly amusing disclaimer about the supermarket prices he quoted, he calls himself 'remap south west', I love consistency.

And I also like the company logo, the 'engine fault' warning logo!

Oh, there's a guest book too if anyones feeling cheeky, the existing comments look suspiciously like they've been typed by the same illiterate person!

Thats the thing see, if he'd come on here and been a decent chap, given advice to people where he could etc, he might have got some advice on how to improve his website/business etc, there are some very good business minds on TSN, not to mention people who can knock up a decent website, but by being an idiot, and trying to covertly advertise his own business, he's shot himself in the foot massively.

 In a thread we deleted that promotes his remapping business he uses almost the same comment about paying for pensions as the entry from "William Brown" in his guest book - complete with the identical grammatical error using 'there' instead of 'their' :roflmao:

...i now understand why it cost so much for the big tuners to do a remap.... to boost there pension i guess...

Hi I would just like to say that I had this thread pointed out to myself by a loyal customer and I am both a little annoyed and confused as to what has been going on here if any members have any information about just what has been going on I would invite any information via pm or email [email protected] I have read this thread start to finish but I do not know what has been said in other thread or over pm.

Regards

Dave

If you read the thread it's quite self simple - new user joined promoting a remapping business 'pretending' to be just a happy customer, this is not permitted - he got moody, we took the mickey and then as expected he vanished.

Apart from supplying maps to this chap with the lovely website, what are you annoyed about??

So Paul from southwest remap is your customer I'm guessing, can't think who else would point you to this thread, and his website repeatedly mentions elite too, which for your average customer, makes things very confusing, who would I be buying a map from? Elite or southwest?

Until now, no one other than Paul from southwest remap has mentioned elite, so can't really see what the issue is?

Welcome to Tyresmoke Dave +++

AFAIK this is the only thread where elite has been mentioned. 320d04 has come on here and started slagging people, which isn't the best way to welcome yourself onto a forum. Any PMs exchanged between people are private to them - none of the mods or admins have access to them.

Hope this clears things up.

I feel kinda sorry for him, that website is shocking. He must have invested a lot of money into mapping equipment, but with a website like that I wouldn't let him near my pride and joy even if he was doing them for £50. That check engine light logo is far from reassuring!

Agreed. Plus all the spelling mistakes and bad grammar, it wouldn't exactly fill you with confidence that he knows what he is doing. Plus having Lady Ga-Ga blast out as soon as you reach the home page does not set a good scene!
