JonC
That's a fair price if she's mint. I was looking to trage my MKV GTI in for one a while ago to tune up to the max, but lifestyle change happened! Good luck with the sale

ShaggySteve
Anyone interested at £15,750 before I advertise it to the masses on Autotrader?
ShaggySteve
As I have not received any interest in the car from Forum members, it has got me thinking! Am I asking too much for it? I’ve really struggled to arrive at a price to advertise it. Is it priced too high? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. It’s going to be a shame to see it go, I need to sell the car, as my wife and I have twin girls and we are struggling with space – SUVs are calling! Cheers
Riz
Steve, the price looks fair to me also.... it`s probably just the time of the year, have you thought about part exchanging it for a 4x4 etc from Volkswagen? Riz
Matt R
Stick to your guns, we traded one at 15k with 60k miles on it, it was loaded and on an 08 plate, your price seems about right!
ShaggySteve
Thanks for the responses Riz and Matt R. The dealer has offered me £13,750 if I were to PX it by the end of this month. Pretty much 40% depreciation since I bought it in March 2007. All this rubbish the dealers say about it’ll hold its value - blah blah blah! I’ve just ordered a Audi Q5, and am looking to close the gap between the worst case PX and the cost of the Q5. I'm going to put in on at £15,750 and see what happens!
Merlot
You are right mate, 40% depreciation in three years is cheap motoring.
STKiller
I am selling my pearl black 5 door ed30 in a few months time. Its a stage 1.5 revo map with dsg and 40k on the clock. VW offered 17k for it and say I can sell for 19k.....so that very cheap seeing as they have actually increased in value from 17k private in dec to 19k now in jan....check glasses quide....I was lucky enough to have the valuation report printed off and given to me by my VW garage......so I'll be looking for around 18500.
