hovis712
:confused:HELP !!!!! I have water no where else but in the n/s/r footwell of my '04 vw passatt estate. I have taken out the pollen filter and looked under the bonnet but there is nothing wet in any of these places. Could it be coming from the vent underneath the n/s/f seat ? My daughter now wears her wellies in the car !!
cruiser647
Try clearing or looking at the bulkhead under the bonnet. It might be full of water - with blocked drainage holes. Good luck! Welcome to TSN!
Tony M
My uncle had this with his 53 plate Passat Estate. Apparently it was a common problem and there was a recall for this but he missed it somehow. He changed cars recently and being a 'straight as a die' sort of chap, he wouldn't sell it with the problem so took it to the main dealers who removed the seats etc, dried it out and rectified the problem which I believe was something in the engine bay/bulkhead area and charged him about £150 for the pleasure.
