Mitchet
Does anyone know what a "Transmission Mount Valve" is? And what does it mean when it's faulty? The car seems to be running fine, but VCDS is reporting the following (even after clearing fault codes): Address 01: Engine Labels: Redir Fail! PsYcHe
no idea.. But interesting that one shows an open circuit and the other shows short to plus. OK, I don't know how these things are wired up, but it almost sounds like an electrical issue (or 1 has failed and it's throwing an error for the other). Mitchet
I spoke to one of the parts guys at Boston Audi the other day and he thinks it's a mount that the gearbox sits on. When the car starts, the mount electronically controls the vibration of the engine and gearbox to minimise vibration through the cars body. I'd presume it also does this when the engine is running? Not much info, but he did say it would be expensive to replace (from a labour point if view). The mount itself is around £220 each. I'll speak to my local independent soon and see what they think. PsYcHe
You'll get extra vibration, and it'll cause extra wear and tear on driveshafts, etc.
