No post from Wopps in 48 hours - I wonder if he is explaining things to Torquay magistrates this morning :P

The underbody damage shown on TG was quite surprising. If the other two cars covered the same gravelly area at similar speed with no ill effects then that's a rather poor show from the Fezza.

Not so much tarmac as grit and sand with a high salt concentration. And very abrasive surface apart from the smooth tarmace bits in the middle.

It was the same for all three cars though so I guess the question is why the other two didn't suffer similar damage.

Maybe less plastics and more alloy in those parts? Don't know. Either way hardly a real world test.

I enjoyed the show last night, first time in a while. I think it just goes to prove that the best car is the one that makes you smile the most.... +++

Either way hardly a real world test.

I'd like to think it's real world(ish), otherwise what is the point of owning such cars if you don't use them in anger on deserted airfields/tracks etc?

They make awful town cars for popping down the shops or taking the kids to school etc.

Granted, a normal airfield track day wouldn't be quite like that one in terms of the amount of dust and grit.

Whatever it says about Ferraris build quality, the fact they all chose it at the end makes it largely irrelevant anyway!

I did an airfield trackday in my Csl many moons ago, didnt fair well at all. I really would not recommend anyone does these, lightest you will come off is with a lot of stone chips on front body work and windscreen. Tracks are much cleaner, unless you venture of piste...
