Hello Everyone

Although I have just joined I have been reading the forum for a few months since we bought our Audi finding some very useful tips.

I now have a problem with the alarm system that is going off now and although i can turn it off / reset it it starts again every minute or so.

Even when I try to leave the car unlocked and the alarm off it carries on doing the same thing, rest then goes off, lock the car goes off, unlock and leave it goes off

Any ideas ?? Cant get any sleep :(

Regards

Mark

You could try turning off the interior motion sensors and see if its that. There's two buttons inside the drivers door cubby, one turns the motion sensors off the other the anti tow. Press the button as you get out and lock as normal and the interior sensors will be off.

Thanks for that I have pulled the sensor button - Red light has come on dont know if thats right or wrong but i await with anticipation!!

Is there anywhere we can purchase a manual as the garage has lost ours when in for a service. Its a 2004 A4 2.5TDI Cabriolet and weve only had it 6 months. Lovely car but dont know what anything does in it.

Many Thanks

Mark

I had the same issue on my cab (2007). It had various modules replaced (in the arm rest) with no success, and then they reader something under the rear seat (would have cost £357 if out of warranty) which fixed the issue.

I had previously spent about a year turning off the interior alarm each time I parked.....

Hi all, new to the forum.

I have had this problem my self and it turned out to be the backup battery inside the siren it self that is about to die on you. The batteries can't be changed according to Audi, they will tell you to buy a new siren.. but ppl do change it anyway.. : )

One way to do it: Audi A4/B6 Alarm Siren - Replace NiMH Batteries

Good luck.
