TTS Slow off the line

I am having difficulty getting my new manual TTS away from the lights it bogs down and the gear changes are harsh. I have to boot it so hard to achieve any decent forward progress it sounds like I am trying to get it into orbit. Any tips on driving the all-wheel drive TT?

I had the 2007 2.0 FWD TT before this one and to be honest it felt more lively, and was very smooth through the box. Perhaps it is a little tight it's only 2 weeks old.

I think I know what your problem is here, the same happened with my S3 a few times.....

just read this. Used to suffer the exact same issues with my S3 after i'd had it chipped, basically floor it at the traffic lights and it would dig in and the i30 next to you would sail past, never ever found out why it did it, it was suggested to me that it was a result of the clever electronics trying to move power around the quatro system and causing the issue.

Just moved from a TT 2.0TFSi to a TTS as above and yes its not as quick to move off. It does almost stop before it goes...

I thought I remap may help but as SK has stated his S3 was doing this after the remap so I'm not so sure.

I suspect I'll just end up with a remap anyhow just to make sure

Have a TTS and the missus has a 2.0TQ A3. The A3 does feel more nimble for the first couple of seconds from start. The problem is getting the TTS and its bigger turbo up to around 3k before stuff happens.

So it's either floor it and sidestep the clutch or just realise that unless the 'race' is more than 50 yards long you're gonna look a bit of a wally.

The same used to happen to me in the R32 would launch nicely if you booted it but you had to keep going otherwise it would bog down, the same can be said for the M5 also, which you had to drop the clutch and launch her to get the car to move quickly off the line, but then I think it was the weight issue more.
