Riz Posted November 2, 2010 Report Share Posted November 2, 2010 Ah the infamous Audi RS3, how long was I waiting for this car, back in the days of RS246.com when I owned the original S3. so about 8 years or so. Its taken this long for Audi to give it the green light, the the car market isn't what I once used to be, £35-40k is just way too much for a small car for most individuals, the second-hand market is more and more appealing these days, so much can be bought. Car values plummeting into oblivion. The RS brand is getting more and more polluted the B7 RS4 was the turning point but since then they haven't really pushed the game. The RS6 was just a big boat on wheels, the RS-TT wasn't a good handling car, the RS5 looks poo! The RS cars are just not getting the reviews which the B7 Audi RS4 did. I`d be surprised if the Audi RS3`s OTR is cheaper than £37,995!!! I am still tempted to put down a small deposit £500 approx but I`m not sure I actually need or want such a expensive hatchback. Now if I didn't own a Golf R32 maybe I would think differently. Having two high maintenance hatchbacks is not a option for me. I`ll wait and see how the RS3 performs before thinking about it more, but I do feel Audi have brought it to the market too late and for the wrong reasons. Mainly to complete with the BMW M1.
