PeterS
Over the last few days my A4 has stopped 'seeing' my iPod. Now, the iPod still works fine in the A3, and the iPod kit in the A4 was a factory fit option. However the RNS-E in the A4 is a retrofit (though it's been there for around 3 years, fully functioning) The error message that comes on the DIS when I select 'changer' (which is how the RNS-E sees the iPod adapter) is No Mag, which I assume means it can't 'see' the iPod. I Is it likely to be as simple as a loose connection between the iPod adaptor and the back of the RNS-E ? Is there anything else that can actually go wrong with the iPod kit  FWIW the iPod generally lives in the car; it's not constantly being moved between cars / car and house, so the connections shouldn't be worn I don't think Thanks Peter
craigyb
No mag suggests that the Ipod kit to RNS-E is functional, but the connection between the Ipod and kit is the faulty part, so probably the connector inside the dock.
