Has anyone got a Nissan Juke?

It's a nice enough car, but it's nothing special, and it doesn't lead the sector in any way, I just don't understand why it's so popular?

+1.

My mate has one as a company car with the +2 seating option. I've sat in it a few times and it seems pleasant enough. BUT, I'd not have any SUV/soft-roader vehicle as I just don't need/want one.

I'll stick with a boring saloon/coupe/big hatch.

First impressions are very good. The 1.5 diesel is perfectly matched to the car; it's not going to win many traffic light GPs but it has plenty of pull for knocking 'round the doors.

It's got all the bits you'd want and many you don't. There are 3 driving modes includng Sport, and a G-force meter, both of which are essential.

The spec includes touch screen sat nav with built in camera alerts, parking camera, auto lights/wipers/folding mirrors/dimming mirrors, keyless entry and start, full leather, heated seats, privacy glass, cruise control, ipod interface, USB. Other than xenons, I can't think of anything it hasn't got that I'd want.

It's well put together unlike some shoddy Ford or Vauxhall, and unlike a Ford, it will doubtless be faultless and reliable.

What's the damage if you were to purchase one of that spec?

No idea to be honest. List price is £17.5k I think. But no one pays that, especially in the NE.

I'm just enjoying the cheap, worry-free, class-leading British engineering, that is the Nissan Juke.

I wonder whether the engineering is more or less class leading than the other 'British' car in this segment - the MINI Countryman. Or, for that matter, whether it's more or less British :grin::bike:

I like it though +++

No idea, all I know is the Juke was largely designed, including the tooling, in the UK. And unlike its contemporaries, it won't fall apart within a few months or suffer from endless electrical problems. Not that most of the mainstream manufacturers have anything in their locker to match it.

My old insignia seemed to be better constructed and had less rattles than my new passat cc.

It was no where as nice or as comfy but the passat cabin just doesn't feel as solid.

When the mrs hands her fiat 500 back the juke could be a contender to replace it. I've said it before, its that ugly I find myself drawn to it.
