patently
There is a view that big executive cars "shouldn't" be red. I had a go at BMW dealers once for not doing the lovely burgundy colour that they previously offered for the 5 series, they told me that 5 buyers didn't like it (apart from the one standing in front of them, natch...). Thinking about the Rangie in question, is it possible to wrap the interior?

That wouldn't have been Calypso red by any chance would it? One of the nicest colours BMW ever did IMO, but nothing like it on the colour chart now. Same for MB; they have an even more conservative (bar the gold and the brown ) set of colours than BMW. Audi still have a metallic red available on the A4 and A6 - Garnet red I think, but it's slightly lighter than Calypso Peter
Paul
Oh dear. How did i miss that interior! I still stand by my comment on the paint. I like it. The interior however is awful.

I'd have any big car in burgundy or metallic red. Nothing comes close to looking as good IMO!
PeterS
Looks like Garnet red isn't available on anything bigger than an A7 I assume Jaguar must do a burgundy though, since it's obviously available on a Range Rover

Insurance Jon
I'm warming to the exterior, and the saving, and the only bit of the interior I don't like is the wood really. Done a bit of digging, and I can swap it for gloss black for around £750. Hmmmmm
Andy_Bangle
You could wrap the wood

Tipex
As above, wrap the trim for a fraction of the price, even the red leather, if you don't like it, can be re trimmed for a few hundred, as it's only those red panels that need changing.
