ashleywater
Could anyone who has ordered an RS3 in Suzuka Grey, please PM me The reason being, after careful consideration,I am looking to form a register and ultimately a group, to get some form of recompense from Audi, for the bl00dy awful way we have been treated, after putting our hard earned down for this car, the collective interest on our deposits is not exactly to be sniffed at, as well as the ever decreasing residual values of anyone trading in etc, if we can form a large enough group, we can put the pressure on, a lot more effectively, than as individuals. Time for the little guy to fight back!
Mook
Nice to see Audi are sticking to their recently acquired trait of treating customers like sh*t. Shame really, because when I had the blue S4, Allroad and silver S4, you couldn't fault the quality of service.
Riz
I don't think my local Audi / Volkswagen dealership is that bag regarding customer service but I guess the RS3 situation stems from the factory. Not much individual dealers can do. I've already seen the new RS 2.5 engine dropped into a old shape S3. Just thinking if it's possible to make a RS3 3dr :D I can understand why customers are cancelling Riz
ahankins
This is definitely not a dealer issue, mine has been open and has prodded and pushed where he can. I appreciate some dealers will be more helpful than others, that's down to individuals. Ultimately the buck stops in Germany, there has clearly been a decision to bump a number of RHD builds for whatever reason. That's fine, but don't expect your customers to hang around, especially if there's nothing on offer to sweeten the deal.

Yep RHD builds being bumped to the end of the queue is to be expected these days. Once the UK was the market to export cars first, but now we are last... high prices and bad economy are to blame. Will you cancel? :D Riz
ahankins
Cheeky! I'm going to take another look at Golf R as a fall back. Though I'm not convinced they will be available that quickly. The pricing appears to have come down, and if there's discount to be had it might mean dumping the Audi.

Mk7 Golf on the horizon - you'll wait up to four months for a Golf R if your dealer has allocation, leather and Bluetooth now standard and if you go manual rather than DSG, your car will arrive sooner. Expensive for a Golf but great fun to own and drive, I assure you !
Riz
Mmmmm if I had a spare £40-45k I would bypass this segment and go and get a good 2nd hand Nissan GTR :D Riz
ahankins
I can't see the wife shipping the child in and out of a GTR with all the gubbins. Hence it needs to be a five door hatch. I might consider an S4 or similar but that'd be last resort.
Tipex
Bollocks, my mrs makes do with a 1.0 3 door Polo*, to carry our 3 children, all under 5 years old about in, it's a total myth that you need a big 5 door car to ferry kids about in. *which sadly, and quite frankly amazingly, has just passed it's MOT, I fear the tester might need to go to Specsavers, that blows my plans for it anyway. This is definitively an Audi AG, issue, which is why I am trying to put together a register and group, and shove it to them financially, via the R8 team, who are supposedly liaising direct with Audi AG Absolutely nothing to do with the dealers, as my local ones have always been excellent, in fact more than excellent, one of the reasons for trying to go back to an audi, as VW dealers are absolutely sh1te in comparison, which is surprising given that the Golf is such a horrendously expensive car these days, I mean you can get a fully loaded S3 at £K's under the price of a Golf R at the moment
Mook
Oh I see, so VW dealers are shite in comparison to Audi ones because Audi ones are selling their hot hatch for less money than VW's one?

Yeah, but I'd take the polo over a GTR! The buggy fills the boot of our Golf.

The last one I bought on an 07 was £19K) you better offer "Premium Brand" customer service, which down here they most definitely do not, compared to Audi. Actually my info is, that Suzuka was the most popular colour choice, so the minority you mention, may actually be the majority, so we'll see

Our local VW dealers have service no worse or better than the Audi dealers across Dorset and Hampshire.

garcon magnifique
Presumably that's on the service side. I never got beyond the utterly appalling sales organisation. I've looked at two cars there that simply weren't as advertised and should never have been o nthe forecourt of any self respecting franchised dealer. ahankins
Sales is generally w@nk. I've as good as waived my cash and it's been ignored. That was my local so I went elsewhere and they bent over backwards. My local VW have been OK until this week. Service have cocked up, car came back with a worse fault than it went in with. And of course they emptied my wallet in the meantime.
