Around us VW and Audi are pretty comparable - complete and utter shit3. Audi sales used to be top notch, but even that has taken a slide in recent years. Guy from work just got an A5 from Wayside Audi and they dicked him around through the whole process, service has been dreadfull for at elast 6 years now, maybe longer, but then its nearly all wayside around us now.

With regards to RS3 - I'd just walk away, if they cannot update you and youre goign to end up taking delivery long after you were initially advised and they cannot say why then i'd be wanting my money back and looking at something else instead.

And that remains an option, although the RS3 is the car I want. I have a build date, which isn't a million miles from expectation, and the dealer has been excellent in this instance. I took the decision that I wanted to drive before i ordered, that always carried a risk. I'm not in the same boat as Ash, that is a farce of completely different measure. The other factor is the lack of a long list of alternatives.

Yeah, but I'd take the polo over a GTR! The buggy fills the boot of our Golf.

GTR has a decent size boot, you'd definitely get more in it than a Polo, and my mrs fits the worlds biggest, most expensive Bill & Teds double buggy in the boot of hers.

40k+ opens a whole world of options for really fantastic cars, cars that the RS3 doesn't deserve to mentioned in the same breath with!

Don't worry Tipex I acquired a 50 quid buggy from Asda.

However, I'd argue that if you're spending 40k you should have what you want!

You mean you didn't spend £40k on the pram? What's the matter with you? Don't you value your child's life or something? Insane.

£40k =

Mercedes C63 AMG

Mercedes others?

Audi RS4

Audi S4

Audi S6/S8

BMW M3

BMW M5

Nissan GT-R

But as a new car what else is there that is comparable to the RS3.... 1M?

I have the Audi RS3 brochure right here and as much as I wan't to like it.. I can't for the money.

In all honesty the GTR doesn't appeal, it's clearly a capable car, but it's just not for me. And the wife just laughed when I suggested we went and looked. Her cash as well....

Alas the Bugaboo is the size of a car, pram and buggy. It's massive!

Bugaboo will be a tight fit in the back of the rs3 not leaving much space for anything else. It appears that the Quattro gubbins (I believe that to be the correct technical term) means the boot is not very deep. As others are saying, I can not tolerate bad service and cancelled mine, as there is a lot of car to be had for 40k elsewhere.

If you really want an rs3 there are quite a few in stock at different dealers as I understand it. Surely the colour is not worth waiting so long for. Alternatively, I can confirm that an RS4 Avant is a very suitable alternative.

You're right about the buggy, fills the boot in our R32. RS3 pretty much the same.

Unfortunately I want what I've ordered in Sepang Blue. As mentioned above if you're coughing up then you should be able to have what you want. Whilst telling them to jog on is an option there's an element of cutting ones nose off to spite ones face.

There are a few physical cars around, two with outrageous interiors and a grey car with those pony red wheels. The mind boggles.

I guess that's your local garage - not sure.

Exactly that Mook, I can only speak as I find, VW commercial on our vans is pretty decent, the car bit is absolutely sh1te, but there again never used to be, until they appointed a new "management" team (P1ss ups & Breweries spring to mind)

Audi have been superb, nothing is too much trouble, and I really cant fault them, no attitude at all and very helpful, with guys who have been there for many years.
