AZURES3
The VW handover was superb and the car is superb, quick picture from Blackberry when we stopped at some shops. The standard equipment on the 2012 Tiguan SE is amazing, so much standard kit that would be £1500+ on the Q3 or Q5.Wife is very happy and the 170 Tdi seems to pull nicely, after 10 years of Audi ownership the arrival of our son made us go for an SUV for the convenience and hopefully reach our remote parents in the winter months.Loving the big touch screen DAB enabled stereo and superb phone kit integration, self parking, Ipod connectivity, 6 Cd etc etc Edited November 30, 2011 by AZURES3
Maxyboy
That looks nice. If you have an issue with the blue tooth connection turning down the ring volume of your iPhone let me know. The touch screen stereo on mine does this for some reason.
TP27
Lovely car the Tiguan - my brother bought the 170 TDi 4-Motion this time last year and loves it. Enjoy !!

Cuprabob
These are very nice, local dealer had a white R-Line in the forecourt and it was lovely. I agree VW has made leaps and bounds over the last few years with the audio and Bluetooth but was surprised you didn't specify Dynaudio.

AZURES3
I take your point but I'm sure the little one would have appreciated the clarity+++ Have to say the standard setup is quite good and the keyless was seen as more beneficial
Luke
Looking really good. Could you get some more pics up please. Be interested what you think of the car after a while. Did you get a discount or is that a bit silly these days at VW?

Luke
Didn't you post that you were having supply problems at some stage? You seem to have got it relatively quickly.

The Tiguan seems a very popular model for VW and the average wait seems to be 16-20 weeks. At one point due to DAB shortages it was pushed out to Feb 2012 but they were resolved before build thankfully.
Bison1379134007
Was thinking about getting a 2012 Tiguan... Is this the model with the "Blue" technology going on? start/stop and all that jazz? We only get one diesel down here... which is 103... and i don't think 103kw is 170ps. Mook
103 is the 140 engine. Different turbo - although you can map them to 180 :D Kilowatts to Pferdestarkes (Ps) Conversion Calculator
Bison1379134007
is 140 even enough to move a 1700kg vehicle!? where's the joy in that? I do love all that bluemotion shizzel though, so might have to do it anyhow. What's the boot space like then? (I've changed)
Mook
Bison wants a boot?! Because it's a diesel, you need to forget about BHP and think about torque - there's plenty, although it'll not set your pants on fire. But you get more with the
Tipex
VAG do a 103bhp diesel engine too, so be careful it isn't that. I had the (dis)pleasure of one of those last week in a bottom of the range Octavia.

CarMad
I didn't move the post but if you never put any threads into a new forum then it will always stay dead. As it happens most people that are already members use the what's new button and will see the thread regardless. But for those that are new to the forum and want some info on any of the VW 4wd vehicles this might be where they look.
