Jan 1st to Mar 31st.

As we get nearer the start date and you have an idea of what you want to achieve, post it up here.

Its meant to be flexible.......and can work however you want, to achieve whatever you want.

To get an idea have a look at the last one.

+++

I am hoping Mook might do a diet and exercise guide if he gets time.

This could be locked and pinned, then he doesn't keep having to answer questions and provide ongoing guidance.

Jan 2nd is a good start date +++

I'm currently 89.9KG and 12.7% body fat. By the 31st March, I'm looking to get to 10% body fat, but retain the same weight, so that means losing 2.43KG (5.35lb) of body fat and putting on 2.43KG of muscle mass.

We'll have to see how it goes - for now, I'm winding down for the rest of the month, both because we're travelling around for a week, so exercise won't be too easy, as well as having to give your body a proper rest from exercise (a full week) every three months or so.

Might well subscribe to this. Currently 94kg and 17% body fat but would like to hit 87kg with a drop in body fat but that might take 6 months. I was musing running the Edinburgh marathon but I've had a couple of injuries which has prevented me hitting the treadmill as hard as I need to.

If ever I should have a NY resolution around fitness is should be to sort my diet out - it is dreadful, peaking and crashing throughout the day. If I did that and maintained my exercise reigime I'd be an adonis ... but I like sh1te food too much!

I'm in for it, just really don;t like the idea of 1st January start. 2nd is passable but's a Monday isn't it? I preferred the idea of a thursday weigh in gives you more time to clear the weekend excess...

Not setting any goals yet need to see where I am after christmas and new year :)

Listen, listen, listen. Its flexible! .....each to their own.

If you want to start on the 1st thats fine, as is the 2nd or every Thursday 0r whatever.

The whole idea is to provide some kind of framework to achieve whatever you want, however you want +++

No, no, no. Rules are rules. And you've got to stick by them. There aren't any, I know, but it's the principle. Yes, yes it is ;)

It's just beginning to make a difference. Lost two inches off my belly so shirts that used to be just too tight now fit. Regulating caffeine intake has helped sort out my sleeping patterns - no more unintentional afternoon 'power naps'. And just starting to feel that I can walk further and faster. Long way to go yet, but these early differences are all the motivation I need to keep going.

Actually one of them did snap but that was back near the start of the diet, the other one I use a lot has run out of holes, I could pull it about 2 inches tighter but then it would wrap halfway around me again, so now it just hangs their pointlessly... :uhoh:

I'm in. Will post some targets post Christmas when I've sat down with my trainer +++

Sam, I know you've changed your life around but talking to your trainers is rather concerning!

Im carrying on. I see this as an ongoing thing now. I know there are dark days ahead when Mr Fatty will start to tempt me back to Porky Land.

I think by posting up weekly weight figures (good and bad) will help me keep up the good work. Personally I think the next 3 months will be harder than the first 3. I'm near my goal of 12 st 7lb and will be trying to maintain that level. I think running maybe my new year exercise programme as it would suit my very busy work/kids lifestyle.
