Andrew
You don't need to dry the car off! The water here is so clean that it leaves no water marks at all. Having lived in London all my life aside from now, scale and water marks were part of everyday living. Here though there is nothing in the water - a cleaned kettle will stay scale free forever! No real time savings though as the wheels are quite fiddly ...
Tipex
Not sure what the water is like in London, but here it's full of chalk, and about as hard as hard water gets, kettles fur up with limescale after only a few weeks, and water marks will be left all over your car if you don't dry it. On the plus side, it's full of minerals!
Andrew
Same deal in London - full of chalk. Shower screens etc need wiping down too. I gather the water up here is filtered through granite, hence the lack of residue. I bought a filter a couple of years back for London and never used it since to get 0ppm the filter would last about 20 washes. Up here it would probably last 70! Twinspark
Probably a good job it's easy to wash a car up there - given how shite the weather normally is, you have to do it twice as often as the rest of us.
TP27
....given how shite the weather normally is, you have to do it twice as often as the rest of us. Quite a nice perk, instead of a perpetual hosepipe ban ?

maersk
Sky News is an unknown medium...................... However, I hope you are right despite the extra money south of the border would be welcome. Scotland on its own would be a basket case (read Greece, Ireland etc.) within 5 years. This from a proud Scot............

Andy_Bangle
I gather the water up here is filtered through granite, hence the lack of residue ...and the addition of carcinogenic radon in the drinking water and radon gas in houses, it's nothing to worry as it's only estimated to cause between 100 and 200 lung cancer deaths in Scotland every year.
