m4ttm4son
Good point, Milo. I did notice he nearly came for it and then retreated. He doesn't like to take command at corners at all. He needs to get in the gym over the summer, bulk up.
Milo
I think De Gea was equally to blame for the goal. Watch from the reverse angle at around 0:39, by dodging around the back of the Tevez, he was struggling to get back into position. tV1XG3r3Uuo
Twinspark
De Gea has made some amazing saves at times this season, but I always preferred the muscle of Lindegaard and the way he commanded the box. Having Vidic missing all season, and being forced into playing De Gea in physical matches has cost us points.
NewNiceMrMe
De Gea has had a good season for a first season. Schmeichel didn't have the best of first seasons as many will remember. If he turns out to be half as good as him, I'll be a very happy man. I don't think De Gea can be faulted for the goal one bit, no matter how much Milo posts about it! Lindegaard isn't ready. He's good but they paid £18m for De Gea for a reason and it wasn't just because they could afford it. Why it would even be questioned bemuses me - he's made some stunning somes this year but as usual people only focus on goalkeeper blunders and he's not made too many of those. Vidic might have cost us points, as did the early season injuries, but as I've said...it isn't over yet and I'm pretty sure Billy2Shots would agree. If they beat Newcastle this weekend i'm sure we'll see him post, but in the meantime I note he's reserving plunging that knife in..
shao_khan
Oh can I just say - Newcastle for the league next season....... I know I say this well at least every year, but next year
m4ttm4son
Will have to see if you can; a) Keep hold of those players, b) Keep the strikers on form - Demba Ba hasn't done much since his pal arrived, c) Keep Pardew from having his usual slump. Milo
Oh can I just say - Newcastle for the league next season....... I know I say this well at least every year, but next year We should have had the title wrapped up by now, had it not been for a few flukey results going against us. Looking forward to celebrating the treble next year though.

NewNiceMrMe
Total and utter fluke. The first was a cracker though and frankly you'll find me saying little but good of Newcastle between now and Sunday. For the first time in my life I am happy to be called a Geordie this weekend. Milo
I've been struggling to decide on the best outcome for the deciding matches in the PL. However, I've made my decision. Unfortunately, and this hurts me more than anyone can understand, it involves supporting Sunderland for a couple of hours :( On Saturday, we will beat Man City 6-0. In all probability it could/should be 9, but we'll settle for 6. Cisse will score 4 (one of them coming from a 70 yard unstoppable half volley. With his eyes shut.). In all likelihood, this will leave Man U 3 points clear going into the last game of the season. The country will endure the usual posturing and blethering crap from their fans proclaiming they are the best team in the solar system etc etc. However, on the last day of the season, Sunderland will stuff Man U, winning 69% of possession, 27 shots on goal to Man U's 2, but yet they'll still only win by 1-0. In the meantine, Man City will win leaving them champions on goal difference (they'll have 2 more than Man U). What will make this even funnier, and probably cause me to do a little wee with laughing so hard, is the 3-0 lesson in football we gave Man U in January will the reason they lose out to their mighty neighbours :roflmao: (Oh and Arsenal and Spurs will fail to pick up another point between them and we will finish 3rd). Milo
Total and utter fluke. So what do you think he trying to do, given there was no Newcastle player in the box, or even ahead of him for that matter?

NewNiceMrMe
So what do you think he trying to do, given there was no Newcastle player in the box, or even ahead of him for that matter? He was trying to sky it and waste time. Like Newcastle usually do on 50 minutes...

NewNiceMrMe
I like your optimism but I can't see it happening. I don't care what happens to Spurs now, or Arsenal, or Chelsea, just as long as Newcastle win or draw this weekend...
