aj84
Hi all, Quick Q, anyone know how to enable the beep to lock/unlock? After the thread in the general area about the thefts without breaking in - got me para I've got a genuine VagCom so no issues there. Unless I'm going blind, I did not see anything on the Rosstech site? Cheers, AJ
Scotty
Go on. Gimme a clue - what A6 have you got? Most of the cars in the Audi range have many common tweaks. I did my mates A6 (2006) by copying a code and trying it. Let me know what model you've got an I may be able to assist.
aj84
Classic! I actually came on here to check this morning as I remembered I forgot to mention which one it was ... and then forgot to check Audi A6 2008 Le Mans Saloon So hopefully the same as your 2006 change you did
craigyb
From memory you add 1024 to the long coding number of the convenience ECU
aj84
Thanks CraigyB! I'll give this a shot tomorrow morning
Scotty
If you're using the long coder then you may find it at 46, Byte 1, bit
craigyb
AFAIK the 2G cars was just additional numbers to the code. aj84
Thanks both All done ! It was adding the 2048 to the current one which got it going Pretty loud ! Didn't think it would be as high-pitched. It's only on lock and not unlock which suits me fine.
megancheung
The 1024 means that the alarm will chirp when the car is locked and alarm activated. I haven't heard anything about being able to change the chirp or delay. I don't honestly know what the GB alarm bit does - it is active on my car however. As you are outside Great Britain then as it wasn't previously selcted then leave it as it is.
